Why was I charged tax?

Due to federal tax regulations, all retailers that ship out of state are required to collect sales tax for many states that we have not had to in the past, even without a physical presence in that state. Any company that is not currently collecting sales tax for your state is putting the burden on you, the customer. This creates a potential for audit at the end of the year, as states are tracking purchases, as they have a law that allows them to collect the tax.

If you would like to understand more about why this has happened, all of a sudden, you can take a read here: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/21/us/politics/supreme-court-sales-taxes-internet-merchants.html

We currently collect and remit sales tax on applicable purchases shipped to the following locations:

Be sure to check your state and local tax authorities as you may be responsible for other taxes in these or other states.
